The Lower Austrian Beekeeping Act defines the following regulations: Migratory colonies may not be brought into the protection area! Any propagation of colonies of a different breed or strain, and any introduction of such a bee colony or queen from another apiary into an existing apiary within the protection area, requires the approval of the district administrative authority. The Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture has the right to have the apiaries located within the protection area inspected for breed purity and bee diseases by an expert.
